Recipes/Hard Boiled Eggs

Steaming:

  • put 1 cm of water in bottom of pot
  • bring to a boil
  • add eggs to bottom of pot and cover pot
  • set timer 6 minutes for soft boils, 10 minutes for hard boiled with translucent yoke, 13 for hard yolks
  • fill pot with cold water, drain and fill again, and let sit for 15 minutes (for fully cooled eggs)
  • drain half the water and shake the pot a bunch to make them easier to peel.

Instant Pot:

  • Put 1cup cold water into instant pot.
  • Add eggs on trivet
  • Set vent to seal
  • Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes
